Horror movie music
what are some of your favorite horror movie themed songs?
I was listening to a few from back then, and like the Exorcist, had almost a childlike touch to it. For some reason in the context of films like these that makes it sound more twisted and adds to the 'horror'
It's actually a good stand alone piece, if I never associated it with this movie.

I've always added Escape From New York and Alien to my list of horror movies lol
But I love how people can create sounds that actually feel 'dark' or dangerous

Stranger Things, is not technically a horror movie, but like Escape From New York and Alien, being a darker side to 'sci fi' its theme music also has a very dangerous feel. It has the vibe of some late 70s disco underneath

Great choices. I'm a fan of all of the songs u posted. The Stranger Things theme is a new classic. One two of the composers of Stranger Things(Kyle Dixon AND Michael Stein) are in this group called S U R V I V E, and I'm into them.

The Headless Horseman song from the animated movie Legend of Sleep Hollow. The singing is done by Thurl Ravencroft(The voice of Tony the Tiger) I think it was a Disney movie back in the late 1950's . Bing Crosby sings the song during the movie but on the album my second grade teacher had it was Ravencroft.

A lot of great mentions here but for me the guy that impressed me the most with his music in movies was John Carpenter. Always thought it sounded dated but the movies would not be the same without his music.
