If he doesn't want to be compared to Prince, he should stop imitating him. Until he develops his own style, I'll ignore this one.

Yeah, it sounds very much like someone who copied all the tricks from Prince and Hendrix, but still, I like this. He does his best.

"He doesn't like to be compared to the ones who were before him". Then proceeds to imitate the ones who were before him LOL. I don't mind an artist ripping off an older, funkier style. In fact, I'd rather that than the type of music in the charts. But don't pretend like you're original or that you don't want to be compared to the likes of Prince. If people are comparing you to Prince, embrace it. It's an honour. I like what I hear from this clip. Does he have any studio recordings on Spotify, Bandcamp, etc?

He does want to keep the original sound relevant. But he is not attempting to carbon copy the originals. He feels it is important that young guys his age should be willing to stay traditional so that it doesn't get lost. I am not aware of anything available outside of his single that is out but I do know he is working on new music all the time. #NPG4LIFE... VISIT

I know, as in I PERSONALLY know a few young artists who do this same kind of music. They claim not to want to copy older artists too. But I don't believe them either. If you hear of any album or single release by this guy, keep us posted.

What modified said.....He's not without talent (and I understand he's from Minni), but he needs his own sound. He looks like Andre from the "Dance Electric" era..and the song (where he's playing his Telecaster) sounded too much like "Empty Room" or "Something In The Water"....He's young, so he has plenty of time to grow.
