Jody has a greatest hits CD. It was released in 1996 and there are 13 tracks including Still a thrill and Looking for a new love. Worth buying.

I have it, it´s great ....and good to have even though I own most of her albums anyway.

Yeah, it's so MPLS! I still love the pre-chorus sections to this day. She sounds so cool in that lower register too! This and "Don't You Want Me" were my favorite singles if I recall.

YES ! That´s another favorite of mine. The video is nice, too, even though it looks a bit more dated than Still A Thrill, which I find almost timeless.

I mean, almost all of my friends know who Grace Jones is, but I barely have any friends who even remember Jody Watley, as sad as that is.

I´m a big fan since her debut solo album.

It's funny you should ask. I never thought about had GJ did it, if or not it'd be a hit. It probably would've. However, I'm glad JW did it. It was everything different from her years with Shalamar. Also, I don't think a video would've been seen as what we got from JW.

Grace Jones was over by 1987, and never did she have great sucess in the US Market. At this time Jody was on fire...having her peak in that market.

Actually, Grace wasn't quite through around the time. She did score a US Top 10 R&B and Dance hit with "I'm Not Perfect," as produced by Nile Rodgers.

Speaking of Grace I go to her minister brother's(Noel Jones) church EVERY Sunday. She looks just like him. He is a GREAT inspiration in my life.
