Would be nice to have those later albums and those non-album tracks on vinyl. But I think it's going to be expensive...

Sadly, several non-album tracks are missing, not to mention the whole Hammersmith live album. Given that this is the first "complete works" box-set since 1990, the first remastering program and most likely the last time any such thing happens in Kate's lifetime, and given that it's gonna be filthy expensive and for hardcore fans only anyway, it would have been great to have something truly comprehensive. IDK what Kate was thinking. I still love her, though: she's one of the most original and wildest artists of our times. I can only hope that she'll record more new music in the years to come, and that there are a few tracks in her vault that she'll consider releasing eventually. Fan 4 Life. Just have 2 work a LOT of O.T. for about a month! I wonder why it's not one complete set, as most artists 2day do. Look at Tony Bennett's 73-CD set. Seems odd, but the aGAIN, it IS Kate Bush we're talkin' 'bout. She's very big on artistic presentation, so even with two, I'm sure they'll both be absolutely stunning. I hope the CD jackets are bound (like her last few have been) and not flimsy, tearable cardboard for the high price. <3 [Edited 10/7/18 17:21pm] Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

I checked the prices. Those 4 vinyl sets cost over €100 each. That's too much. I'll pass.

Her only compilation album The Whole Story was released way back in 1986. A new BEST OF should be put out containing all her single releases. BTW my fave Kate song is Suspended in Gaffa.

I'm sure your answers are here: http://gaffa.org/ I didn't check each of them but I know many are b-sides (most of which were already in the 1990 This Woman's Work box-set) and at least some of the covers come from various artists compilations such as the tributes to Elton John and Gershwin. I don't believe any is previously unreleased. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

From what I can recall, that song called "Humming" on The Other Side disc 2 has never been officially released as a b-side. It's a demo recorded around 1973, when Kate was about 15.

Checked thx to this great website: https://www.katebushencyclopedia.com/ . Sadly, there are many non-album songs missing, some b-sides, many remixes or alternate versions of various tracks, etc. I didn't bother to count but probably at least 2 dozen tracks altogether. . Some other things can be found on the 1990 2-CD compilation of non-album tracks titled This Woman's Work (only officially available in a box-set comprising all albums IIRC). . There are also various fanmade collections that can be found online. One is titled "The Single Files 1977-2005" (not sure if 100% comprehensive, but pretty impressive with 90 tracks in it, though some are just the album version of songs that were released as such as a single). . The 1979 live show that was released on home video was also finally released on CD circa 1993, in a bundle with the video cassette. . There's also the 1993 music videos film that goes with TRS, and all the other music vids, as well as the famous 1979 christmas special on TV that's widely circulating on the internet. . And finally there are many pre-1978 demos circulating on bootlegs, rereleased many times in various collections. . I find it a pity that it seems to be so hard (if not impossible) for artists and labels to manage to release everything from an artist's previously released catalogue. Fans manage to track down every bloody version of every possible track, so it's not like the information about what's out there has been lost. And an artist of Kate Bush's importance, with such a strong fanbase, could easily have added a few CD's and DVD's to such a boxset in order to make sure it was entirely comprehensive. I'm actually convinced it would have boosted the value of the product, because why bother getting a very incomplete remastered edition of a few tracks when you have already, lovingly tracked down everything else? . Regardless, Kate is the coolest woman who ever lived, she deserves all our love and respect . On an interesting Prince connexion sidenote, Novi Novog once belonged to a band named Chunky, Novi & Ernie. Their 70's recordings, particularly their 1974 self-titled album, are very similar to Kate's early recordings, to the extent that singer Lauren Wood's voice even sounds like Kate's. IDK if Kate was aware of this band's existence and if they were any kind of influence but I find it pretty interesting. One of the things that made Kate so special an artist from the beginning is that Kate had a universe of her own and that she didn't sound like no one. With most artists you can hear their influences, their music will remind you of such or such thig that came before, but Kate was a pocket musical universe of her own. So Chunky, Novi & Ernie sounding "like Kate Bush before Kate Bush" is all the more striking! It has been reported that the vocals by Rolf Harris on the Aerial album tracks "An Architect's Dream" and "The Painter's Link" have been removed in the remastered editions after he was found guilty of indecent assault against four girls.

god, 2005 albums being remastered makes me feel so old . I didn't know about that incident [Edited 12/14/18 9:19am]

Those CDs would benefit greatly from being remastered. I am sure part of the sound is due to how it was originally mixed for vinyl or cassette.

What kinda nonsense is this to mess with a record just because the singer or musician turns out to be a creep? Then we wouldn't be allowed to listen to Chuck Berry anymore either. And hé released an album at 90 years old.

Just sold back a TON of my older Kate stuff to the local music store for credit toward the box set remasters. I made $109.00! The first box set will be FREE! LOL! The second box set concerns me where there's a disc of 12" mixes, but missing in action is the 12" version of "Eat The Music" which runs 9:21. Thankfully, I kept my CD single which has that version, but it's not remastered and is from 1993 when "The Red Shoes" officially dropped in The States. I think she might have been a bit more careful here in what is excluded in comparison with what is INcluded; "ETM" not being one of those 12" mixes. Perhaps it was a licensing thing through Columbia in The States? Not sure. If Kate owns all her masters, then why leave that one off? If fans are gonna pay top dollar for an artist's "completely remastered" works, wouldn't it make sense 2 include ALL of it???? Seems greedy and presumtuous 2 me on her part or whomEVER'S part. MY opinion, of course, and no offense intended. I'll still be pickin' up BOTH boxed sets on CD. Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.
