The Japan release of the CD features a bonus track. Its an original song, not a remix. So I just placed my order for the Japan version. The price is a little outrageous. I hope its worth it.

Are you expecting it to arrive today?
No, I couldn't find any domestic sellers in the U.S. so I had to order it from an ebay seller in Japan. So I'm hoping within the next week or so it will arrive. I'm really anxious to hear the album. The reviews I've read so far have been positive.

I half-heard it today playing in the background at work. I enjoyed it. One track kinda reminded me of her 2009 project, Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel, but other than that, it was fresh! I kinda thought Imperfect Angel was ahead of its time sonically, anyway.
Listened on the way into the office this morning. Not counting "Merry Christmas II You", this is by far her strongest album since "Mimi". Still don't understand why all of the guest rappers. Not as annoying as they usually are because they are not prominently featured on any of the songs, which is why I say why even bother? I don't recognize any of the names. Maybe she is trying to keep them employed.
The strongest track on the album is by far "Portrait". It is a powerful ballad with her voice and a piano (Yes! a REAL piano!) as the focal points of the songs. Beautifully executed. The bonus track on the Japan CD, "Runaway", is in the same vein as most of the other mid-tempo songs on the album. However, it finds her wailing in the background so it stands out above the rest. As a whole, I was rather impressed. I don't know if this is an album that I would necessarily revisit as a whole but there are some tracks that I will definately add into my regular rotation.

When she was talking to Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest last week, she said the album was going to be called Portrait, but she said that title didn't reflect the vibe of the album as a whole. But clearly, she agrees it is the jewel.

Its her strongest effort in a long time, but there still is that feeling of am I going to listen to this again? or a lot? She just still has never been able to have strong overall albums, but its better than a lot of her stuff
