I really liked them, and still do. And I honestly miss the Jheri curl era. With the disappearance of the Jheri curls, the bands broke up and the sound changed. Midnight Star, Full Force, RFTW, they all suddenly changed when they cut their hair. I miss the Jheri curl era. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Never listened to their music outside of "Oh Sheila" which I never really cared for but I love that they're from Flint.

Jheri curl music! or, as I like to call them... Curl activators!
These dudes dropped some GREAT tunes back in the day. I'm The One Who Loves you was the s**t! Slide Over Mary Goes Round so many.... RTFW ruled!

Weren't they those dudes who ripped off Prince with a Prince like song and that dude singing like he's British, . They paved the way for dudes like Carlton, Jak, Georgio, Yasuyuki Okamura and my favourite - Exotic Storm. Sales of Jheri Curl activator and Merry Go Round suits would explode. I got plenty good loving for ya baby

I'd argue that all of their releases were really good expect the one that wasn't "officially" released. Even Melvin's solo work was good. FOOLS multiply when WISE Men & Women are silent.

- Thanks for the excuse to highlight my favorite song from their debut joint.... - - It wasn't always the case though. At first, the singles had my ear. "ITOWLY" and "Ceramic Girl" ended up having the greatest replay value for me. - Out of all of the Prince/MPLS sounding bands, they mastered it and actually went on to carve out their own sound. -

- This is the last thing from them that I dug... - - And yes, Melvin had some nice joints as a solo artist too. - They are well overdue for an Unsung episode (if they haven't had already).
