Dreamboy @ Detroit's The Stars Of Tomorrow 1985

- Channel: 80's Regional TV: Detroit's The Stars of Tomorrow
- Broadcasting year: 1985
- Artist: Dreamboy
- Track: "Contact"
- Label: Qwest Records
- Track's release year: 1984/1985

"...When we came up with Dreamboy," we said:"Let's make something that females and males can relate to," stated the quintet's lead singer and songwriter Jeff Stanton. "We came up with the concept because Dreamboy is something a man wants to be to a woman, and something any woman wants her man to be. The only thing we label it is the sound of the 80's," rebuffed Stanton. "We admire Prince, he's a genius, and he's opened up a whole new block of music. Now we've just moved our house onto the same block." (Rock & Soul magazine, May 1984)

Purplegarden

That was hilariously bad, the guitarist way overdoing it to the point, you knew it was a lipsynch. And don't those guitars look tiny. The singing was dreadful - clearly a terrible Prince rip off.

.

And the sound and clothes are more 1979/80 than 1985, the white dude still had an Afro! It was funny though. The name Dreamboy sounds very homoerotic.

This is the place where emotions grow. 24 Feelings all in a row, its alright, its alright
