So, the remastered 3-D IMAX THRILLER presentation will only screen for ONE WEEK in SEPTEMBER PRECEDING "THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS"???

Aka....the C*ck with a House on Its Balls... (*that's an assured SCREAM!)



I think they've suckered me in on it. I'll prob take an early leave from work one day and see it at a matinee. (In case it's a PACKED event). I'd asked Landis about it last year... and I guess the answer is here that it will not have any independent MJ themed release. (It COULD ostensibly screen with GHOSTS)... and maybe with a broadcast of MAN IN THE MIRROR (with FLEX)... for some TRUE BLOODY HORROR!!!

Unlikely, since it's only on the 3D IMAX version of the movie, not the regular version. Many places don't have IMAX and Thriller is supposed to be there the 1st week only, unless it gets extended or something. I've seen commercials for the movie on TV and Thriller wasn't mentioned, but Jack Black mentoined it on Jimmy Fallon.

i WENT!

The IMAX format was BRILLIANT, CRYSTAL CLEAR, and AMAZING TO LOOK AT!......However the theater I went to insisted it was their practice to continue with the house lights nearly on during the presentation (for those wishing to reach their seats etc before the main film).

I could see every crusty piece of dirt, every nuance on every zombie, it was fascinating to watch...and it was odd to watch MJJ with his jheri curls and mini moustache... seeing the nose surgical scars with clarity and all that. ...also seeing the effects of lupus and vitiligo on his heavily made up face...

HOWEVER the entire thing wasn't just a visual feast (although at times it felt like I was looking at the music video/short film for the FIRST TIME) the sound was great, and moreso what stood out was the actual scenery...the immersiveness of watching a film on screen of two people watching a film on screen;... it was pretty hilarious. I wish this had it's OWN run with GHOSTS.


It's a disgrace to the work and even to John Landis (Whom I have some major faults with) that this is screened FOR A WEEK ONLY with such a piece of shit movie called "THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS"

God,... no chemistry, poor structuring, poor pacing, poor acting choices, poor casting (Jack Black)... un-MAGICAL... un interesting... mostly bad CGI, and very little interaction among characters... what a piece of mish mashed crap. The kid's acting wasnt bad, neither was whats er name... but I should have done my homework and realized this was an ELI ROTH flick ....that guy sure knows how to make some crap.


he's just a horror/blood/gore fetishist... Haven't found one iota of "emotive feeling" in any of his non horror flicks. He must be related to someone... some rich "SUIT" int he busness... cause that film was crap.

Eseentially I spent $14 to watch THRILLER... (matinee... I skipped work to see MJ)

I don't know why the IMAX was necessary for HOUSE....

god... I counted FIVE instances that stupid TOPIARY LION was used for the shit joke.

FIVE... and that wasn't even funny. I sat through the whole thing hopeful...but that film is pretty bad.


ADVICE?

take a pair of glasses to the theater and sneak in before watching something else. (if no one is guarding)

I've seen that video hundreds of times.....but felt like I was seeing it for the first time

The MJ Estate would be missing a huge opportunity if they don't release this new HD remaster along with "Making Michael Jackson's Thriller" on blu ray

Oh, and I left right after Thriller ended. Ain't nobody staying to see Jack Black

Yeah, I'm upset that it will apparently be seen only in this run. What a wasted opporunity. They could've done a selective special night of MJ stuff... GHOSTS and MOONWALKER could've filled out the rest. Hell make it it's own ticket.

I"m at a loss to figure out HOW this could not be screened and well...honestly *exploited for and on halloween

Pair it with Venom AND the new installment of Halloween and let more viewers see it.

as well as blu ray release of truly remastered versions of his videos
