Wild Orchid - Oxygen (1998)

This month marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Wild Orchid's 2nd album, "Oxygen" or WO2. In my opinion, although there some good songs on here, it was not their best effort and I think I know the reason why too. Teen pop had made an explosive comeback and I feel their record company (RCA) was trying to make them into something they weren't. Stacy (Fergie), Renee and Stefanie have voices and vocal range that was waay too mature for the Pop market and that's why I feel that's where the album failed. The group's only saving grace was their show, "Great Pretenders", which kept them in the spotlight for a good while.
