Will Stevie Wonder ever actually release a New Album?

Serious question.

His last album of original material was 2005's "A Time To Love". It had been ten years at that time since Conversation Peace, his 1995 album. He's had many guest appearances, a few singles, and he's always on TV, tributes, etc. He's not incognito or anything; he tours, performs 'new songs that will be released', 'songs in progress', etc.

But will he actually relase a new album? There have been no proper re-issues with bonus tracks, no new albums, no nothing, really. I think an artist has a right to relase as little or much as they want to. But I was also hearing about him and Aretha releasing some collabs (from them both). Now, who knows.

He has teased no less than a half-dozen songs and about three different albums (Through The Eyes Of Wonder - Original Songs, The Gospel Inspired By Lulah - Original Songs, When The World Began - Original Songs and remakes with David Foster).

I last saw him live in 2015, he was in great form. He has his ups and downs. He sang "As" at Aretha's funeral and despite the people forgetting the "night and day" and "trees and seeds" (lol), HIS voice was great. Will we get another album, or is he just done?

Oh, nobody's accusing anyone of making any of those rumors up. We're just saying that he doesn't have to.

I really don't want to grieve him with an album I had in 2005.

He was also supposed to release one (or several biggrin) albums featuring the "harpejji" instrument... And while we're at it - will Herbie Hancock ever release a new album? (Actually, he was supposed to a few years ago, but still no sign...)

Yeah I know, that's what I was talking about - it was supposed to release a couple of years ago, but like he says in the article, there's no real need to rush it anymore... smile
