I love the drum kit sound on this Eagles tune

The Eagles "King of Hollywood" from The Long Run. They smack even on shitty speakers.
Big shout to whatever tech or engineer set up the mics that day.

I remember Don Henley saying in the Eagles documentary that they always made a point to multiple microphones on each instrument (three was on the drum kit) to get a fuller sound during mixing.

I know most people are burned out on their hits, but their albums sound wicked!
