Madonna vs. Belinda Carlisle Who is better-looking, more talented, more intelligent, sexier, more interesting, more iconic, etc. ?
Let's discuss these 2 women...
I think it's a fitting topic considering both are turning 60 in a few days. (Madonna : 8/16/1958 and 1 day later Belinda : 8/17/1958.)
There are quite a few similarities besides the age...

What are the simliarities besides they are female and blonde?
Musically they are quite different. Madonna's music is more dance/electronic and Belinda is pop/rock.
I find it annoying how people always seem to compare female artists and ask who is better, when a lot of times they don't have that much in common. Male artists aren't compared in the same way.
Madonna is a lot more interesting because she has a lot more to say about various issues which also makes her more controversial.
Also, Madonna has continued to release new material whether people like it or not. Belinda for the most part hasn't and has mostly hit the retro circuit not just as a solo artist but also with the Go-gos. | |

Anyone who says these threads are only about women must have missed all those endless Prince vs Michael Jackson threads we used to have.  Thing is, Madonna is a superstar while I had totally forgotten about poor Belinda until someone started a thread about her a few days ago.
