I remember watching this interview live in 1990 when it first came on. Man do I miss those Video Soul days. After seeing the NE Story and seeing what lead up to this it is definitely a moment in time. Sensitivity was not released yet, but Poison & Rub You The Right Way were on the radio already. Ralph the most popular member next to Bobby hadnt dropped yet so the pressure was on.

and its interesting to go back to some of the old intreviews/specials they did back in the day too. More importantly New Edition did something that no other boy band has been able to do......All the members had hits beyond the group. Can you say that about New Kids On The Block etc? One of my favs from Bel Biv Devoe Word To The Mutha! (1991)

I wish there was video footage (Heartbreak Tour) Mr. Telephone Man - New Edition Audio for Mr. Telephone Man by New Edition with Bobby Brown on the Heartbreak Tour in Washington, DC 1988. After opening up for New Edition, Bobby would come back out and sing "Telephone Man" during New Edition's set.
