My review:


A nice album. In the final only r&b release from the GOOD Music releases...Teyanna Taylor uses this album to speak about marriage, fake friends, staying positive and sex.

Kanye uses old rare soul samples (and sometimes hardly any music at all except for synth) for the first have delicately to allow Teyanna vocals to breathe...I was really surprised however by WTP the final track is which is a tribute to the drag ballrooms ...it sound like it was recorded in 1992. Had me dying laughing.

I couldnt help but to think the album could have used some more musical elements like bass from Raphael Saddiq to give it more of a punch.

this album is trash... when she's not trying to sound like Brandy, or SZA, or a combination of the two, she's foul and over-the-top...which i love about her on TV and movies, but her ratchetness doesnt play well over beats...she doesnt have a bad voice, so im suprised this lp wasnt better...Kanye must have given all his good beats for the year to Push and Nas....

IT's OK; I was surprised by the 3Way song, now that Monae and Ndegeocello have spoken about Sapphism it is less taboo. WTP is a beautiful homage to House music and the culture and my favorite song; the rest is mediocre.

I think the songs were stripped down to a fault, they didnt have time to breathe..but that WTP should ahve been extended to a 5 minute house jam lol

I skimmed thru sum of this, might get back 2 it at a later date . Hurry is the only thing that jumped @ me, beat was nice.

Yeah none of them have jump out sounds except for WTP, requires a full listen. Its only 25 minutes so nothing extra lengthy

I haven't listened to it, but imo, she should have put this out 2 years ago with the Fade video. When she was HOT for about a month? They should have had that album in the can before that video came out, so the album could come out RIGHT after the video premiere.

You are right. I forgot her name after a while because I don't really know her like that...it wasnt until Janet Jacksons picture with her that I remembered who she even was.

I agree. The timing is unfortunate.
