Now, this is what I call some real funk fests. They were having somn in Atlanta recently billed as a funk fest I took one look at the bill and said you've got to be kidding me.
I wouldn't mind seeing what the whole Vaugn Mason & Crew has turned out to be. That Roll Bouce story of how that song and the crew came to be is fascinating. Vaughn basically hired some cats on the spot to be his "crew" just before they put it down in the studio. Or somn like that.
Have fun(K).

The SOS Band (with original lead singer Mary Davis) have also been appearing at these Funk Fest shows in recent years.I'm happy that they're back on the road, doing their thing.

Would love to see these shows but I'm on the East Coast. I wanna know how they are gonna

sqeeze all 12 of those acts in for this Los Angeles show. I saw the S.O.S Band last summer and

they put on a good show. They went back in the crate and pulled out some gems like S.OS(dit dit dit dash dash dit dit dit). Interested to see how the Barkays fare with their new lead singer.

I believe that the Los Angeles show starts in the daytime and doesn’t end until late at night....an all-day affair.

Such a shame that these shows don’t play all over the US.

Wow, that's almost like seeing Prince. They've got some mean badass bass player there! That guy behind Morris, is that Jerome Benton?

You know I forgot they actually do have the Soul Food Music Festival that comes

to the East Coast the past several years but I haven't attended in 3 years because of either

work or the lineup. They don't have a lineup or date as of yet for this year. It's usually in May

or June. -

By any chance, was that event held at Stone Mountain Park? I follow the band Brick on Facebook and they recently performed a show there.I was wondering if it was the same event that you mentioned.

Naw this was not it. The lineup had nothing to do with Funk. I think Bobby Brown or somebody was the headliner.
