Joe Jackson, father of Michael, Janet and the performing family, and architect of The Jackson 5, is in the final stages of terminal cancer, a source close to the situation confirmed to Variety. TMZ and Britain’s Daily Mail first reported the news.

Oh wellz. He didn't seem to have a problem inflicting pain on his children, hopefully he has no issue with being on the receving end himself. Are we meant to celebrate Joe Jackson?

Who do.you think taught the boys, Katherine. Joe had a successful band in the Chicago area The Falcons. They didn't go nationwide but they did play the Regal Theater as openning act from time to time. A group he was previously with, the Spaniels had hits in the 50s.
