Would love to buy this but just don't want to join Tidal - hopefully it will become available in other formats soon.

I thought it was hilarious when she said "get off my dick" it reminds me of this lady that smokes cigs out front of the store. She always says her boss can suck her dick if he can find it. These are females. Get with the times.

What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?

She is undoubtedly aware that social media has normalized racism, and success doesn't shield people of color from bigotry and hate. It comes with the territory, so to speak.

Yeah its not the first time she said something like this either

"I don't give a fuck, chucking my deuces up
Suck on my balls, pause, I had enough
I ain't thinking 'bout you"
-Sorry

I have been hearing and seeing men calling each other cunts lately as well lol. Seems like the newest fad. Funny how tables turn wordplay schtick in society.

That was a stupid thing to do to start with.

Not pardoning the racism but they call what they did for Beyonce "idolatry". It was blasphemous and unnecessary. You wonder why people dislike Beyonce? Because of nonsense like that.

No doubt many people out there can't stand to see a rich, successful and powerful black couple like Jay and Beyonce but that is a barebones blanket statement if that's being used to dismiss all her critics.

So it's better to hold a service for a god no one ever saw, but if black churches hold a service for a black woman it's stupid and a reason to hate Beyonce? It's not like Beyonce said they should do it and I think it's cool tho.

I’m black and I’m not feeling it.
People kiss their ass too much and this album is mediocre AT BEST. Great production but that’s expected when you have millions of dollars to make an album. Jays catalog is better than Beys and I’m not big on rap. Bey only has one GREAT album through and through(Lemonade), 2 good/above average ones (Beyonce and 4) the rest are mediocre even though BDay is a fav of mine. Trash music from an artist of her caliber and the caliber of writers/producers she has access to.

Um... yah.

Beyonce is not a deity, she's a human being. It is stupid and is good reason to hate on that part of Beyonce's deluded fanbase who went so far as to put together a service to worship her. It's sick.

Yes, but you said people hate on Beyonce and that's not right.

It's true though. The most radical of fanbases have always turned people against the subject of their devotion. The Beyhive is probably the most notorious fan base there is and they laud Beyonce as some untouchable goddess, something the media aids in as well. When people listen to this over the top adulation and actually look at Beyonce for what she is, the hype doesn't match up to the woman and that creates a dislike. It may be the fans who create that atmosphere but Beyonce is the center of it and thus the hate is directed at her. We can debate whether or not she actually has a hand in stoking up the media to put her on a pedestal but most of her fans leave a bad impression on her and honestly, she strikes me as vain and egotistical so it wouldn't surprise me if collaborating with the media is revealed to be her master plan.

Usually you see peope use that kind of language to get noticed. Shucks, even Prince did it. But after they're noticed, they generally up their game and let their talent out.

Beyonce has gone the opposite direction. She burst on the scene as an extremely talented singer. One of the best, maybe ever. But then a few years ago she decided to go backwards and now everything I've heard from her is laced with f-bombs, n-bombs, and such.

Like I said, I remember when she used to be talented.

And that is your opinion Motown, just like it's my opinion that it's stupid to complain about churches that hold services for existing people, but then holding services for a god that probably doesn't even exist. Why not letting people holding services for whoever they like without complaining about that? And I might add, this wasn't a simple complaint there were people saying: "I don't understand this black culture, that useless scum."

I thought Prince stopped doing that kind of thing when he became a Jehovah's Witness, not because his music or image evolved. razz

The existence of air is a cold hard fact. I'm just trying to point out how simplistic of an outlook it is to say "Well I've never seen x so x must not exist." or that because we actually see something, there's nothing wrong with worshipping it. If you're going to follow that line of thinking, why stop at worshipping humans? Why not animals or even inanimate objects?

The bottom line is people aren't supposed to worship and exalt fellow mortals. That goes directly against the very purpose of the church. I'm sorry for swaying this topic but I had to speak my piece.

I haven't listened to this song and I have no intention to so I'm not going to comment on what I think of it. I was only here to point out why people would have a problem with Beyonce outside of her being a powerful, successful woman of color. You can't paint all Beyonce haters with the same brush.

Did we not see Prince do the same exact thing in 1992? Gold Nigga? Mother fucker I Count The Days? Carmen Electra sorry album? Jughead, The Flow? His desperate attempts to fit in with hip hop... He did this mess all the way up until he declared himself suddenly a Jehovahs Witness. Let's not act brand new. Beyonce fitting in with the Cardi B's and Nicki Minaj's right now giving them a run for their money. There are only a few select tracks that she raps in. Whats everything you heard?

She stopped giving interviews shortly after the Grammy performance. I think it ticked some people off, mostly casual fans and critics. It started to then give her a mysterious aura and turned her fans into the rabid "Beyhive". If anything it only helped her career. It was that Prince Show effect!!
