According to a story out now, he's abandoning the entire European tour due to health problems. What's going on?

As a human being, I'm hoping that he recovers from whatever is ailing him. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Would love to know what the real story is, to be honest. Cancelling the tour for health reasons means that he can't be sued by promoters. Maybe it is a genuine excuse...but if not, I feel like emailing that motherfucker and ask for a refund of the £7.55 booking fees that the booking agency withheld.

Obviously I wish him all the best with his health issues but can’t say i’m not very disappointed. The Hammersmith show was already rescheduled from February. I was going to this & the Bristol & Brixton shows. I took a week off work & was going with a load of mates to each show. Some I persuaded to go as the times I have seen him before were absolutely incredible. I was also hoping for a new album release as there were rumours of this as he had so many trax over from the Black Messiah sessions.

He cancelled on me a couple of years ago too. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I had tickets for this tour, though I did wonder if he'd pull a no show. "Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced." - James Baldwin

Is being perpetually as stoned as a goose technically considered a health problem? "Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced." - James Baldwin

Wow. All European dates or just the UK ones? I still have my ticket for the concert that was supposed to happen a few weeks ago and they told me I could either keep the ticket and go to the concert in July or get a refund. If I´d known that he´d cancel again I would have preferred a refund. I´ve even changed my vacation plans just to see him in July. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Yeah, I have a feeling those are the health problems he is experiencing. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Well, after Prince, don't really care about artist canceling shows, just care about them taking care of themselves and if that means stepping away from the music to heal and get healthy, so be it. Sending Prayers, Peace and Good Vibes his way.

What an ignorant comment!!! When was the last time an artist cancelled a tour that u had multiple tix for? People are entitled to be pissed off especially after booking more than one show, hotels & arranging transport/childcare/work. D has done this many times before. At least there was a ten day notice. We all want D to get healthy if it is heathcare issues. But maybe he shouldn’t commit to tour dates unless he’s fully fit. Drug & mental health rumours have continued to dog him for years. Yep, Hamburg cancelled, too. He‘s obviously not well because if the concerts are first postponed than cancelled months later because he’s working on an album... fuck that. So, I hope he gets better some day. Hey loudmouth, shut the fuck up, right?

Disappointed, as I was looking forward to finally seeing him live.

I had bought Golden-Circle-Tickets for Hamburg (Germany). It just makes me sad. I hope he is going to get well soon. And I hope he'll bring the groove to Hamburg someday again. NPG Radio:

Due to lack of interest, no doubt. People quickly forget and move on when you do next to nothing. The UK is an unforgiving place, they still have phone booths. He mght sell out in one of those.

I have immense admiration for his artistry, and I pray nothing potentially life-threatening has befallen him.

His last concert I went to was sold out. The house was packed and people were very satisfied. This was in 2015. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I hope I'm wrong I don't see him being with us when he's 60 yrs old and if he is when he's retired I don't see him releasing any more studio albums other than 2 more.

I find that the German audience is more forgiving, and particularly supportive, especially amongst the professional musician set. Once they're in for an artist, they're IN.

Yes. They are very conservative in the "conserving" "preserving" sense of the word. And they keep a tradition alive much longer than the inventors of said traditions. I´m thinking of the Hip Hop movement which is still a real movement in Germany, with graffiti artists and breakers , DJs and rappers who meet at Hip Hop jams and festivals, or old school Funk afficionados who still celebrate oldschool artists. Mid 80s to mid 90s rappers still tour here and attract relatively big crowds. People like Master Ace, Jungle Brothers, etc. Some are so popular that they spontaneously decide to play a second night if their schedule allows it. The same goes for the Japanese. They are very loyal fans and keep whatever foreign subculture they happen to be into very much alive and pay attention to details, unlike some other countries who easily lose patience and interest. I´ve seen D´Angelo twice, both times in Hamburg, both were great shows. And I don´t mind him releasing albums every 15 years instead of every two or three years. I´m glad he´s still alive, to be honest. Still a bummer though that the concert has been cancelled. I hope I´ll get my money back. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. I've never been to Germany but I've been to England, Italy and France and while I was thete It appeared to me at least they have a strong love and appreciation of Soul music not the watered down R&B that some artist put out today or what's popular today. They love Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye Aretha all that ol school soul. D' and a few other artist today have thst old sound that foreigners seem to love and respect more than we do in the states.
