Your favourite foreign artists? (NOT ENGLISH SPEAKING) My Aunts husband is turkish and so we grew up knowing german and turkish culture. So when there were partys we'd listen to a lot of turkish music, but this guy was played very often and he became one of my favourite artists, not only because of the music, he was also the first turkish artist to wear make up and earrings, he breaks the gender barriers and that is what makes him so interesting to me. He also has some english lyrics:
What are your favourite foreign artists? Do you have any? [Edited 5/14/18 14:02pm]

If you mean music outside the U.S. (because Prince is foreign to people in Ireland or Germany or Australia, etc): Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

My favourite foreign artist? Well, Prince. I'm in Britain and he's an American artist so that's foreign from where I stand.
But perhaps instead you mean favourite foreign language artist (ie those recording in a language other than English)?
If so then I'll answer Kraftwerk. I know that several of their albums and singles were released both in English and German but the German language versions sound very cool. [Edited 5/14/18 8:09am]

As an American, of course I'm going to forget so many, but my top 5 as of today would go something like this: Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

So I thought I had to clear this one up, I meant artists who don't sing english lyrics. Sorry I should've made this clear in the beginning but I fixed it in the title.

Another Turkish singer/songwriter. As prolofic as Prince probably in terms of amount of material she has written for herself and others in 40+ years.
And this one always starts the party:
