I think they are very underrated. Although they are in the RHOF, they don't get enough adulations for bridging the gap between Hip Hop and Rock. They should have a Grammy Salute or Honor, same with LL Cool J (these are the true pionners of Hip Hop). [Edited 4/15/18 17:31pm]

I´m a big fan since day one. Always liked them, always will. Loved their positive lyrics and the beats and scratching combined with those rock guitars, and they are probably the first rap group that had a very unique style with the leather jackets and fedoras and laceless shelltoe Superstar Adidas. And they were among the first, maybe even THE first rap group with a very distinct logo. That logo has become so omnipresent over the years....many other groups and people and movements have copied it over the years. I read an interview with the guy who designed that logo, and from what I understood he got paid but does not have a copyright on that logo. Too bad, because it is really everywhere, at least over here.
Kreuzberg is a part of Berlin, for those who don´t know. A bit like Brooklyn or parts of the Bronx. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I wonder what DMC is thinking here. That logo is so popular these days. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Run DMC & LL Cool J (& Russell Simmons) were at the forefront of the commercialization of hiphop....they were the first cats to transcend the genre and make it possible for those that followed, to get paid...
