Outkast Copied Choreography for Hey Ya. Tryna Find Video

Remember the green outfits and the tipi and the dancers dressed in indian costumes for the live version of Hey Ya?

Way back ago, there was a cheesy video of a white rock band with the tipi and the girls. I think it was an early 70's hippy thing with the lead singer playing an organ (I think) wearing a leather outfit with a lot of long fringe.

Does anyone remember what this song/band was and how to find it on Youtube? I searched a bunch of terms but struck out.

thanks

Hmmm it says it is based on Beatled Ed Sullivan Show per4mance...

Wiki:

The song's music video, directed by Bryan Barber, is based on the Beatles' landmark appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964, but sets the action in London. The beginning and end of the video blend with those of "The Way You Move" so that the two can be watched in either order, and a "The Way You Move/Hey Ya!" video combining both clips with a bridging sequence was released on the OutKast: The Videos DVD.

Who is Tryna Find? Sounds like a rapper less interesting than Cardi B.

If you really wanna dig into someone copying, look at "Single Ladies" from Beyoncé. Dig around, she took a lot of moves for that one.

Artists copy stuff like that all the time. Obviously with the style of "Hey Ya", it's influenced from older music. So for the visuals to reflect that as well should not be surprising.

The OP doesn't ask about the music video, but the source of this performance

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

There's not really any dancing but there is a Native motif in this Sugarhill Gang video.

Here is a 1979 remake of the 1960s hit by Paul Revere & The Raiders, don't know if this is what you're looking for.
