The Right Stuff is the debut studio album by Vanessa Williams. It was released on June 6, 1988, by Wing Records. The album and its singles were well received by both the urban and pop markets. The album includes the singles "The Right Stuff", "(He's Got) The Look", "Dreamin'" and "Darlin' I". The album was eventually certfied Gold by the Recording Industry Associ...of America (RIAA) for sales over 500,000 and earned Williams three Grammy Award nominations.

My favorite album of hers....totally underrated...should have sold way more and charted much higher...excellent debut!

What a coincidence, I was playing a few of her videos on youtube today along with a bunch of other female R&B/Pop singers. We had so much more variety in the late 80's.I was checking out Anita Baker, Sade, Karyn White, Pebbles, Jodi Watley, Janet. It's so depressing the lack of variety in female R&b/pop/dance artist today.
