Tracey Thorn appreciation post and playlist Recently Tracey Thorn wrote an article for "The New Statesman" paper/outlet about Sade.
Tracey and Sade Adu have always occupied this similar emotional place as singers to me. Both have these heartbreakingly sweet, intense, melancholy and emotionally raw vocal tones. Tracey Thorn and Sade as song creators and producers have created material that can really stand up next to thier unique and beautiful vocals. I thought it was absolutely perfect that it was Tracey Thorn that was chosen to write the article about Sade. Tracey Thorn is one of the most phenomenal soul vocalists. Here is my Tracey Thorn playlist. I was a big fan of Everything But the Girl. I've only heard bits a pieces of her solo work but I've always appreciated her style. Change it one more time.. | |
