Focus - Zero In July (James Alexander)
Hot joint done by group that included former Barkays members James Alexander and Mark Bynum in 1987 who produced the song. The Barkays split up after the Banging The Wall album paring down to 3 members. James left the band he created after touring for years and clashing with producer Allen Jones. It was an interesting tidbit that their Unsung story didn't tell. I like the remix to this even better. I still have my 45. They never released an album after the single. No one ever knew why. This cut used to get airplay and get play in the clubs in my area. [Edited 3/21/18 21:08pm] Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

The beat and tempo always brings Prince's "It" to mind.
