The people who did The Staxx Records Story documentary should do one on Solar Records... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

"Over And Over" by Shalamar (1983) is one of my favorite Shalamar songs.Makes me kinda sad though, because this was the final Shalamar single that featured the classic line-up of Howard Hewitt,Jody Watley and Jeffrey Daniels. When it came time to film a video,Jody and Jeffrey aren't even in it.They had left the group shortly after The Look album was released.

a funny Prince-related story about this song,as reported in one of the Prince books (can't remember which one):
Prince heard this song on the radio in early 1983 and he actually thought that it was a Jam and Lewis production This was when he didn't like his "employees" working with other artists. He mentioned it to Jam and Lewis and they swore that they didn't have anything to do with the song (lol).

Anyway I'm surprised Prince even assumed that. That song doesn't sound Minneapolis-like at all.
