When the Black Eyed Peas went to electronic dance music for their albums "The E.N.D" and "The Beginning" - not to mention will.i.am's solo work like "Check It Out" - I always thought they may have been influenced by the band Eiffel 65.

Eiffel 65 were an Italian music group who released "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" in the late 1990s and released a couple of albums in the early 2000s. The BEP's/ will.i.am music reminds me a lot of Eiffel 65's album "Europop" - not just the music but also the image.
