Maybe a single but she was still in Lisbon just a couple of weeks ago recording. I wouldn't look for an album release until May or June at earliest. But still interested to hear what she's come up with. Rebel Heart can suck a dick. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Ya never know with her! Idk some article said she was working with a pop writer that has songs for a slew of dud trendy teenybopper so who knows? I've been waiting for her to just make a band album with like a handful of musicians vs. a pop star of the moment thang but I doubt it'd ever happens. I can say for a fact that brother in law and "Guilty By Association"/"Don't Tell Me" collaborator Joe Henry commented on a social media post that he "would be ready when The Queen was ready" I could use a good new pop song. if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2

Rebel Heart was a step up from MDNA being one of her most personally revealing records since Hard Candy. It was oversaturated with trendy sounds though and mind numbing bad tracks like Illuminati, Bitch I'm Madonna, Sex and Iconic. At the same time Living For Love, Body Shop, Heartbreak City, Holy Water and Unapologetic Bitch were great tracks! Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

To many that album was bad, I never understood that. However in my opinion, it had some of the most instantly catchy writing I have heard from her in a while. I liked the lyrics of Unapologetic Bitch and Heartbreak City especially having told the story about her breakup with that 25 year old (what was you thinking gurl!?), and Joan Of Arc was revealing. She did the same thing in Hard Candy with Miles Away (Guy Richie only wants her when she's gone), Shes Not Me (Guy Richie moving on) and Devil Wouldnt Recognize You (Guy Richie again). There's some storytellin' in that album. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I agree with your assessment of the two albums. I liked most of Rebel Heart, as the melodies on some of the songs reminded me of the pre-electonica Madonna. In contrast, MDNA was her worst album and seemed like a failed attempt to get relevant on top 40 radio again.

Really? I think American Life was the last time Madonna was classic Madonna. Ray Of Light, Music, American Life. A great trilogy.

I think Rebel Heart was mostly a good record, cut a few tracks and it’s pretty solid, definitely a stronger record than MDNA. I hope Madonna goes for a more mature sound next like the Music and Ray of Light albums.

I cant argue with that that's why I said American Life was the last inspired Madonna record (maybe Confessions too on a good day). I dont care for anything she did after that
Although I dont agree with you on; Rebel Heart and Hard Candy, they are not even in the same league with Music and American Life. IMO you can pick the best singles from the former and they fail in comparison to album tracks on the latter like "Gone", "Paradise", "Nothing Fails" "Easy Ride". Those are up there with her all time best songs. IMO

I'm really excited about the thought of a new Madge album. It's definitely time. I've been listening to Rebel Heart a lot lately and think it held up quite well. It's certainly stronger than MDNA, imo.

I'ce enjoyed the last few albums, but then I'm a fan ... M needs to go back to being ahead of the curve and setting the trends, not following far behind in other people's wake. I have my doubts whether that'll happen though. www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site!

Madonna is currently in London working on her new music and revealed on Instagram she is collaborating with Starrah and Billboard. Starrah is an American songwriter, singer and rapper who co-wrote songs such as Rihanna’s “Needed Me,” Katy Perry’s “Swish Swish”, Nicki Minaj’s “No Frauds” and Camila Cabello’s “Havana”. Montreal-based producer Billboard has worked with Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Shakria, Dillon Francis, Kesha and Ellie Goulding.

Madonna has been making music since 1982.There's not gonna be anymore "setting trends" or breaking new ground Look around, there is nothing "new" or original in pop music anymore.I can't think of a single producer that she could work with, who could give her a completely new and groundbreaking sound, can you?

I still listen to Rebel Heart a lot, including the abundance of unreleased demos and outtakes. There's a lot to discover in those songs. I liked MDNA immediately after it was released but the re-visited it after seeing the MDNA Tour and felt it was a poor album, maybe even more so than Hard Candy which I've recently been revisiting and enjoying... "Devil Wouldn't Recognise You" is a brilliant song imo.
I'm probably being naive but the recent instagram posts of her alone at the piano writing songs makes me hope that she has gone back to basics and is doing things "the old fashioned way" but I'm probably wrong.
Very interesting to hear Patrick Leonard is releasing an album of the music he wrote with Madonna. Now THAT would be a dream collaboration at this point. I wonder if he's reached out to her? 3121... Don't U Wanna Come?

I would love a collaboration with The XX or Kaytranada, I think both could really make ol girl shine. . Aside from the aformentioned rock/acoustic album that will never happen, another great idea that will never happen is the "around the world" music-themed album she has hinted at in the past where tracks with regional sounds/producers would be featured, including Portugal. if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2
