Spandau Ballet - True

This song by Spandau Ballet had become a true classic, in more ways than one. This classic found a second life in the world of R&B and Hip Hop when it was covered and sampled by many R&B and Hip Hop artists for years to come. Let's appreciate this classic gem by Spandau Ballet.

It's 35. Its sound is timeless.

The band's chief songwriter and guitarist Gary Kemp cited this as one of his favorites.

I have this song in a 80s playlist. I'm so glad I grew up when these songs were being released

Arguably Spandaus best song. They also were a more soulful group compared to their contemporaries of the time like Duran Duran who were more Dance orientated. I wonder how a Spandau/Nile Rodgers collab would have sounded though.

Love it, remember it as a child and its in my hot 1983 song list.

.

You are all missing one other - late 1982's Communication, it is about 80s synth as it gets. Plus you know the Kemp brothers acted and very well as the Krays in a 1990 TV movie.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
