I love that song and Guy and the whole NJS era. I Want Her is still is awesome thirty years later.

Back to the question, I don't hear 777-9311 in the beat. I really like Finesse and I appreciate Bruno bringing back the old sounds of the past, maybe it will encourage some of his fans to go back and listen to more of his influences. The video is a throwback/dedication to In Living Colour. I think it is so cute!

No, I don't hear the Minneapolis sound in this song. I hear mostly New Jack Swing.

I don't hate Bruno but I've cooled on him a bit because he's doing the "throwback" thing so much that it's kind of like....I dunno. I really like artists who change it up but I suppose really only Prince was th best at doing that and we'll never have another one who will do it that way either.

It is totally New Jack Swing. Someone said it sounded like this song by Today.
