That's true.. They'll.... B & N will probably raise their prices. lol

No that wont happen because B & N are having issues of their own now with people Buying books. Their prices are high for music, because they have to make something off the CDS plus it benefits them having a member club with % off everything you buy that is how they can hook in a consistent catalog buyer. I mean B & N at this point is the only store that gets 99% of what comes out. Best Buy up till about 3-4 years would get most new releases now if its not Kanye or Taylor or Kendrick good luck finding it, even a new cd from a mainstream group like Fifth Harmony their latest was not in Best Buy for a month.

LD these retailers are so greedy, watch. lol Seriously, B&N music/video stuff is pricey... it will be interesting if B&N will raise music prices a lil bit more or reduce music prices lil bit: Hoping to take advantage of an every decreasing CD market. My brother argues what killed the CD market is when they Record Labes with the help of the FBI pulled conventional ways fo people could download music ("for free") off the web. lol It sounds crazy but I've been giving his point some thought. We'll discuss that again when we have our Wed music talk.

In my area Best Buy does a lot of business, hudge business. Yea, all types of retail will shrink but I think they have a space. Not everybody has a credit card for one reason or nother. Just as not all people have Internet or Interent they can stream on.

I had one just like it. I actually hooked it up to my stereo at the time, because it wasn't the latest and greatest -- I had to make do! lol

.

Memba when we had our CD changers in the trunk of our cars? Ahhh, those were the days! lol

lol Sound like my brother. Funny you mention that... I bought my brother all types of Bluetooth adapters for Christmas. I call this fool and told him it was curtains for CD's at B.B. He told me, he's hooked up his portable CD player via Bluetooth to connect to his UE BOOM speaker. hmm I mailed him my two portable CD players. lol

.

lol

.

I thought I was behind the times, but your brother got me beat! lol

Since I don't have Amazon Prime, it's often a lot cheaper to order CDs from the Third Party sellers linked from Amazon. I just hate paying shipping, but these days I have no choice, especially since a lot of the CDs I buy are a bit out of the mainstream.

Up to 5 or 10 years ago, my hometown of NYC had huge stores where you could find almost any CD you wanted (domestic) and a fair amount of imports, right at your fingertips.

I have Amazon Prime and it's definitely worth it. It's so convenient and 2-day shipping. I buy other things other than music, so it really comes in handy for household items, etc.

I miss the records stores! I'm from CT and I remember Sam Goody and Sam Ash store in NY.

I have Music Unlimited for 4 bucks a month. I have it for my Echo and you have to upgrade to Spotify premium to stream music on it so I got Music Unlimited but I think I'm gonna try Prime out because shipping charges without prime are ridiculous and a little scandalous on Amazon's part.

Think how much easier it will be to censor music when everybody's streaming from 2 or 3 sources.

4 bucks a month -- that's sweet.

I was thinking about getting an Echo -- yeah, they always make you upgrade, sob's! lol

.

A lot of people won't sign-up for Amazon Prime, but I order from them all the time, so it's well-worth it. They very nice to deal with. Very rarely do I ever have an issue with their customer service, but if they screw up with any orders, they will just re-ship it to you at no cost, no questions. Nice!

Best Buy was cool about ten years ago when they were still getting exclusive songs on their CDs like Target.

I hope Target doesn't stop doing those exclusives. I still find the experience to feel very rewarding.

HMV closed all their stores a year ago across Canada, and most of them have been replaced by another retailer named Sunrise Records, and I go there for new releases.

Amazon also holds it down for the less available titles on CD.

I buy a lot of import CDs , and a lot of times the Third Party sellers end up still being cheaper WITH shipping costs than Amazon charges even without shipping fees! Go figure...
