that's what i said too, but you had these guys saying marvin was getting fucked by everyone, then they threw smokey in their too, i want to know where they live.
I guess that to some, cross dressing equal queer which equals getting fucked. Look at how they judged Prince very true...even if at times, unfair |

they always say that cross dressers statictically are usually not gay. but ya, that's what they think. lots of gay men do dress feminine and i've seen plenty of gay crossdressers too, that tend to stick out. I knew a gay guy or rather, a teller at a bank, name was allen, guy was a toxic dick to everyone he worked with, arrogant, had a sign saying he was the best, my brother told me that he saw him on a bus dressed as a woman, i always wondered what happened to that guy. |

serious? never heard any of that shit, in fact, smokey is one of the few overtly feminine black singers who's never really been thought of as gay. even when he had a gay song called "cruisin" Never heard no shit like that. what I did hear from a lady who claimed to work there was that they were mob affiliated. People are crazy though, my best friends wife still insists she saw me and him make some sexual moves on each other, we both know it never happened, why she says it? I just tell him "she's trying to play with your head".
The song cruisin had nothing to do with anything gay and I never heard anything about him being gay. Smokey wrote his own autobiograhy and put himself out as a crazy drug taking womanzier.
The mob stuff is true and comes up in a lot of court docs and Rick James talked about it in his book.
side note, Superfreak was invited to the party at Sharon Tate's house the night of the Manson Murders but backed out because he wasnt feeling well or something. Imagine if he'd been one of the victims, of course at the time he was unknown and hanging out with the Laurel Canyon crowd, now that's a topic for discussion... |

Surprised no one here has mentioned the rumor of Q's involvement in Tupac's death, and that he was killed not because he was dating his daughter but that he'd been invited to participate in an all male orgy and declined the offer. Heard that one in LA all the time... |

She got back on black radio with Q's help. "Love Is In Control", produced by Q in 1982 (#4 Billboard R&B), is the song that got her back on urban radio and the R&B" charts in a big way. "Money" was a year later in 1983. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Detroit. I heard the rumors about Marvin and Smokey when I was a kid, which was a loooong time ago. I grew up around people who knew Marvin, Smokey and the others personally. Partied with them, lived in the same hoods, etc. When one person tells you something, you may tend not believe it. But, when you have mulitple people telling you the same stories, then there has to be truth to what they are saying. So the fact Q called Marvin out like that was not shocking to me at all. Not sure why everyone is so sensitive about it and find it so unbelievable.
Look, bisexual black men exist. More than people are willing to admit and accept. It does not diminish anyone's accomplishments and achievements. Now, if someone chooses to lose respect for a man because he is/was bi, then that is a personal problem. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

like someone else here pointed out, being bisexual doesn't make one gay, it's just something most Hollywood people participate in to be initiated, so to speak. In their thinking it makes you liberal and open-minded, and it's also great blackmail material. You do this one time and they've got you for life. I bet Q's had his share of buggery... |

it's not a matter of just sexuality, it's the matter of being used as sex toys by some asshole in power, like some bimbo that's offensive, and no, i never heard no shit like that about Marvin or Smokey, ever and that's not easy to do in that business where pretty much everyone is at least called gay at some point. All these years, the shit is new to me, maybe it's true, but i find it odd that i've never ever heard one whisper of it in a place like motown where people have loved gossip about everything for decades, i don't think i'm ready to believe it yet. |

i've heard it, it always sounded stupid to kill someone over something like that and i know q is fucked but i never was convinced he'd be trying to seduce a guy who's already fucking his daughter. they say tupac said things but i've never seen or heard a real source for that. |

agreed, but the idea was that he was trying to initiate him, in the sense of this is what we do, or what the elite do anyway, but let's just say it's true, I'm pretty certain Tupac's reply wasn't just "No thank you, Quincy, see you around the holidays", and so a person in Q's social position is thinking he needs to be brought in line. It's actually a Hollywood cliche, in the end... |

2017 and human sexuality or homosexuality seems to still be an issue? One day I hope people shrug and keep it movin. The conversation here sounds like little girls and boys playing doctor for the first time. Good grief. If Q would have mentioned he'd been with any of these cats rolling around in a female orgy, this would be a known issue. For years entertainers have been in the closet, especially Black male entertainers. The Black community kept their mouths shut, expect when it came to female entertainer's, rumor mill abound. The fact that another man, loved or fucked another man .... Ooooooo I'm tellin'! That's a lie!! How could that be?! Seriously?
Who would have thought Teddy Pendergrass would be in a car with a transgender woman the night he wrecked his car. Boy, what lengths people went to shutdown that story, including threatening Jet Magazine writers at the time. Who would have thought Mr. Murphy would have picked the (is it the left or right) side of the street on Sana Monica Blvd. You never here these stories repeated but if they were female entertainers, many wouldn't give it a second thought to bring that shit up in every interview. Are we still these puritanical, hypocritical or both?
Do you know any of these people, have you ever meet them let alone spent time with any of the people? Did you party with Q or worked with him? Nope, attack him for his lack of discretion or his musical critique. But you weren't there and neither was I.
I'm gonna grab me some tea.

americans would judge, even if it were straight sex, just look at tiger woods, america lambasted the man and took his mind totally off the game. but yes, you're right, the homosexuality is an issue, america just has it in for anyone who has success, and has to tear them down somehow.

i hear you, i think it was veiled racism somewhat, but my bigger point is, america loves seeing it's heroes fall. was it that big of a deal? hell no, whatever happened was really between him and the women, but america finds one little flaw and it's a witch hunt, i'm not arguing with you, just pointing out how it is. and btw, what is YIPS? |

LMAO... fucking didnt ruin Tiger.... Tiger bulked up too much and had repeated back and knee surgeries and came back too early from those surgeries... the torque on the spine and knees created by a golf swing is tremendous... trying to compete at the pro level after multiple surgeries is a daunting (almost impossible) task.... Tiger has had 16 surgeries since 1994 including 2 microdiscectomy surgeries on his spine... not one of the 16 surgeries was the result of falling in some pussy... |
