Yes, it was. Except...I give Timberlake much respect for his Prince tribute. IMO it showed a lot of character to take 2 minutes out of the biggest performance he'll ever give in his life, and pay tribute to another artist.

So for me, I don't care if Timberlake yodeled off-key while doing the Running Man dance for the other 12 minutes. He'll always be aces in my book for what he did for Prince's legacy in front of the biggest audience in the entire world.

Ouch.

This is the first media reference to the obvious lipsynching...do millenials even care anymore?

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I admittedly missed the halftime show, but knowing how talented JT usually is, I'm sure it was just fine. Probably better than a lot of past halftime shows, but of course it couldn't have been better than Prince's - who the hell could ever top playing "Purple Rain" in a downpour? All the stars and planets really aligned for that show.

my thoughts - were exactly that the highlight WAS the prince tribute .... so why

shouldnt these artists do it more like Prince did ? I mean he sang other artists songs too

i think when justin broke into "iwould die 4 u " ... it was the highlight .... i did like

justins last song ... and the way he went into the audience ... he is talented ...

but every artist should do this type of set up where they honor some people before them etc ...

i mean Prince mixed it up with foo fighters, even dylan ... i think it would have been great to

see him do like a Lennon song or something ...

Colonel Angus may be smelly. colonel angus may be a little rough . but deep down ... Colonel angus is very sweet.

Why even compare the two?? Totally different kind of artists and their performances were years apart.

They might as well have written a story about "Compared to The Godfather part 2, Avatar was a wimpy joke".

Pointless article.

I went in with my expectations low and came out of the whole ordeal satisfied. It wasn't anything special but it was good for what it was.

It made me emotional and sad on a personal level but it wasn't that offensive. It still surprises me the things that trigger my emotions regarding Prince. Grief is perplexing.
