Any Mazzy Star fans?

I came across an old cd I burned, but never got around to listening to until tonight. It's titled "So Tonight That I Might See" & "Among My Swans". I'm loving it. The first track is called "Wasted". Reminds me of something Prince would cover. Any thoughts on or info on the group?

If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

I saw them perform during their tour supporting their "Seasons Of Your Day" album. Was very nice-chill, trippy, and dark-lit with cool projections and meditative instrumental sounds between the songs.

I saw them on this tour as well and remember it being very nice.

Hope Sandoval solo on the other hand can be temperamental. The first time I saw her live in 2009, she reprimanded the audience for not being quiet enough, and then attending one of her shows last year, no photography of any kind was allowed and she stood and sang in darkness with just one light behind her facing towards the rear of the stage. So even if you were bold enough to try to thwart security and take a photo, all you would have seen was a shadowy silhouette. She and the band sounded great though.

i liked mazzy star's first two albums a lot, especially the first one. i lost track of things after that, & never followed hope sandoval's career at all.

i'm actually a bigger fan of dave roback's earlier bands rain parade & especially opal. opal's lp 'happy nightmare baby' is one of my all-time favourite records, one of the great acid rock lps.
