I'm more interested in why the majority of people from troubled upbringings, bad life circumstances or from the marjins of society, who have lives ten fold worse than Hitler don't become evil.
The world is filled with people who have had lives far worse than the likes of Hitler. so, no, I don't understand why Hitler did what he did. Also, Badu's comment about Hitler being a good painter is no different than what the whole of society is currently doing with George Bush jr. https://edition.cnn.com/2...index.html George W. Bush discovers his 'inner Rembrandt' in homage to veterans . Who cares about his paintings? He was a shit stain. You need to read up on what those fools did to people. Inhuman. If someone were to say that the slave holder and jim crow era whites of the south in America were good statesmen and craftmen despite raping, burning and hanging people Eryka would be the first person screaming.

Ironically, I think she comes across as a decent and likeable person in this interview, even though I don't really share her general mystical outlook. Maybe it's a sign of our times, but it's somehow gratifying nonetheless just to see someone happy in their own skin and enjoying their life. I also rather respect the way she's clarified her comments with the same forbearance and no pretence. I also think that most readers will grasp the meaning of her ostensibly 'controversial' comments, and being beset by this latest manufactured controversy might ultimately work in her favour. Something new like New Amerykah Part One would be nice, once she's done 'uploading'. 2freaky4church1 said: DeeBee, she sounds like Prince? Oh, she's mad as a box of frogs, and I disagree with much about her outlook ('be like water' and accept everything with a Zen-like calm is ultimately a rather conservative philosophy, in my opinion, and her take on Cosby is essentially apologism). Nonetheless, there's something likeable about the universalism of her homespun philosophy, and the fact that she's stayed committed to those principles even when it's been turned into something scandalous. Kooky, but seems a nice lass, I thought. "Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced." - James Baldwin | |
