Some that stand out to me, in rough order:

A Tribe Called Quest -- "Bonita Applebum" (1990) Still the GOAT of rap ballads.

LL Cool J -- "I Need Love" (1987) one of the reasons LL is a legend is that he brought rap ballads to the forefront.

The Pharcyde -- "Otha Fish" (1993) and "She Said" (1995)

Common -- "Come Close" (2002)

Gang Starr -- "Love Sick" (1990) (bonus points if you remember the crew that beefed with Gang Starr over this beat)

De La Soul -- "4 More (f. Zhane)" (1996)

Slum Village -- "2u4u" (2000-1)

Now that I think about it, Ghostface made an album showcasing his relatively sensitive side, Ghostdini. "Paragraphs of Love" is my jam off that one.
