Chet Baker 'Let's Get Lost'; anything by Billie Holiday. Probably horrendously uncool to say it, but I quite like Diana Krall, All For You. And Diana is so boneable too!! Cute and talented - unbeatable!! (someone mentioned Pat Metheny: his 'Zero Tolerance for Silence' would definitely be my 'least favourite jazz recording', if that counts as jazz).

PFUNKJAZZ, I like the way you formatted this list. I may come back later and list my favorites by artist.

NOTE: Albums that are my favorites are measured by this crtieria.

1) The album must display the artist's musicianship at a high level.

2)I enjoyed all the songs from beginnig to end.

3) The sidemen playing on these sessions contribute memorable performances.
