Is there anyone who actually likes the song "I'm So Stupid"? That song seems to be the one song nobody really cares for...lol...

I love it! It reminds me of her 'Emmy' stuff vocal wise...
This album is quite the grower...though we haven't connected
(yet?). It's the 'Bedtime Stories' syndrome...i guess.

EDIT!

>Glad you're seeing the good in it. But "Like A Virgin"? That's her worst regular studio album that's not tied to a movie.<

I rather like that album. It's a natural extention from her first album, and the first 7 songs on that album are all classics in my opinion (although I admit the title track sounds a lot more cheesy these days than it did back then). I think True Blue (which is also a fine album, don't get me wrong) is less worthy than Like a Virgin. Although Open Your Heart and La Isla Bonita kick ass...

Okay, how many of you cracked up laughing during "American Life" when Madonna says, "F*ck it, f*ck it." Oooh, that makes it sooo risque. Please.

Obviously I hadn't heard it before since the "clean" version is what is being played on radio and on the video. So silly.

Was there anything else that gave the album the parental advisary notice on it?

I'm also getting a little tired of Madonna writing about herself so much. It'd more be interesting for her to take on characters and sing about their lives ala "Papa Don't Preach." Anything different from the being-a-star-is-so-much-harder-than-it-looks stuff. I appreciate that she's getting in touch with herself, but god, do I have to be part of her therapy session?

I love hearing Maddy cuss on her new Cd.It proves that,no matter how spiritual or "enlightened" she becomes, she's still the same crazy lady we fell in love with 20 years ago...lol...

But I can't really see the point of making a "clean" version of this CD.She says the word "fuck" about 5 times during the title track, and that's the only time she swears. This ain't no gangsta rap cuss-fest or anything...lol...

I think it's cool that there's a dirty version. And I think she wanted the parental advisory on there. It always adds intrigue. And it looks good with the packaging. wink

half way there. I am into five cuts and I put that hot remix, at the end of my cd three times back to back to back, and the live Like A Prayer from Mtv. I'm feeling it a track at a time.

If I play a track over and over and over, I appreciate it more, as a song and for what it is. If I play the cd from track 1, all the way through, it does not gell with me.

After listening to the album for the last two days, I must say... I love it.

It's exciting and fresh... she's true to herself, she writes a lot about her upbringing... her childhood... her pain. I dig this album.

More later... track by track. wave
