Just for the record, this video dates to August 2012. This was a year before his stroke that he spent the next few years recovering from. Travis fought to have the tape not released, but it eventually was, as seen here. Earlier in 2012, he had also been arrested for being drunk in a car in public.
I'm sure it's been a long road for him. To be in a stable and good place now, and have this video come out surely feels like a boomerang effect to a worse time in his life. It could also serve as a reminder of how bad alcohol is for him. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

I am not sure what purpose it served. I also listened to his rambling and it sounds like he got walloped by his dad. Could be the root cause of his problems. Wrong to go after someone who is recovering from a stroke. |

The thing is that it is public information. His celebrity status doesn't give him a special privilege of privacy, nor should it. The video is a year before his stroke. I don't believe the PD is "going after" anyone. He fought to not have the video released. The fact that the fight has gone on five years is a rich guy privilege that the everyday person doesn't get when their videos are slapped on the internet for either a protest group to use or on WorldStar for people to laugh at. The world lacks empathy, but Travis doesn't get a pass here for being naked and drunk and talkin' shit. He's just one of many that night probably. If he forgot himself, and the world we live in where there are cameras everywhere, then that's his beast to battle. Should arrest videos be released? Eh, maybe. It keeps cops honest, and they're usually very dishonest in their reports and recounting what happened.
The roots of his problems are probably far and wide, for sure.

I doubt anyone cared about seeing this and the footage we the public need to see often magically disappears. Also do not demonize someone because the have money. Any money he had he earned he did not steal it and people brought his records and went to his concerts because they enjoyed the music. So tired of the class nonsense.

Then Travis shouldn't have tried to use his to hide the video. The person who takes a video owns the rights to it, not the people in it, especially if you're in public. Anyone could have videoed his ass (literally) and he'd have no recourse. You step outside your home, you could be videotaped or photographed, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Well I do not know about you but if someone is video taping me I can do something right on the spot.
I have had my home blocked on Goggle so yes you can do something. |
