Have y'all been able to peep any of The Beatles on Sirius satellite radio? I think they do a great job of mixing it up.

Abbey Road. Several others albums are great but the 2nd side of the Abbey Road album is my favorite side of Beatles music!

i have NEVER heard a Beatles album. a few random songs here and there in commercial jingles and such. perhaps before i die, i'll see if all the fuss has been justified.

This is a hard one because as much as I love the Beatles I find that most of their albums have at least one track that I'm really not that fond of. People often talk about Sgt Pepper's being the greatest album of all time, and maybe it would be if they'd have included Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane at the expense of She's Leaving Home or When I'm 64, two tracks that I usually skip.

It's the same with the White Album which has a couple of not so great tracks (Revolution 9, Don't Pass Me By) as well as plenty of brilliance, and whilst Revolver is pretty superb it also has Yellow Sunmarine, which whilst not a bad song per se it's not one that I think goes so well on the album (Rain would have a fantastic substitute).

So what's the best Beatles album then? It's a tough one, The White Album has some of my all time favourite Beatles songs on it (Sexy Sadie, Dear Prudence, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Happiness Isd A Warm Gun, etc) but I also can't forget that about a quarter of the songs on the album don't do it for me. And that's what you get, a buch of songs from four personalities in a band that was falkling apart, some songs you'll love, some you won't all fighting for space on the album, a real portrait of the band warts and all. So I'd have to go for Abbey Road, it hangs together really well as an album, and as said already, side 2 is possibly the greatest side of an album ever comitted to vinyl.

Sgt. would have been a much better album if had it been added Strawberry, Penny and The Fool On The Hill. Drop Good Morning and For The Benefit. Revolver coud have bee beter with Rain and Paperback Writer, Rubber Soul with Work It Out and Say Tripper and so on and so forth.
