Have had it in high quality digital files for what seems like a decade now. It's a wonderful album. I was so pleased that the Chic Strings were given something to do on this project as they were noticeably absent from the other Chic Org. productions from 1981. But it's not the juggernaut I'd hoped it'd be. Won't be shelling out out $500 for Johnny's complete discography just to get a pressing of it. It'd be nice to get a vinyl copy one day.

I wonder if the Family Ties theme Without Us is in the box set. I don't think it was on an album. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

It's on his 'That's What Friends Are For' CD.

If that's the album with Deniece Williams, I have it, and it's not on there. Too Much, Too Little, Too Late is not on there either. It was originally just a non-album single. I don't have the CD version, must be a bonus track or something. Yes...a bonus track...on the 2003 pressing of the CD.

Love this song but I can't imagine this was the intended artwork if the project even got to that stage. That shirt has early '70s written all over it.

^^The singing on that tune makes me think of Gregory Abbott. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. Both songs are there. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley
