Troop - My Heart
Chuckii Booker's best musical production piece. I remember when I first heard this and never saw Troop I thought they were a band. Chuckii killed this piece with the musical instruments and Troop danced their asses off in the video. Their choreography was second to none. Their hairstyles were jacked up. Other than that Troop and Chuckii were a winning combo. Don't laugh at my funk

Love this one Gonna have to disagree with you on one thing, though; Chuckii’s finest moment was “Spread My Wings” on Troop’s second album. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Though My Heart would be a respectable R&B hit for the quintet, still, at the time, it wouldn't of garnered greater attention than that of the production of Gerald LeVert and Marc Gordon's Mamacita.

Aside from NE, my favorite R&B vocal group of the 90's. They should have been bigger in my opinion. Chuckii did seem to bring out the best in them.

- I haven't heard everything Chuckii produced back then but from what I can recall, "Spread My Wings" was something special. I don't recall anything from Chuckii's own catalog messing with "SMW". I could be wrong though. - - Back to TROOP, most of their singles were on point.

Spread My Wings and All I do Is Think Of You were fire too. I just like the thumping bass line on My Heart just like Touch from Chuckii's debut album. I really wasn't feeling Mamacita but I'm sure that was a hit for them too. It sounds like Chuckii wrote My Heart for himself and decided to give it to Troop. Got to give it up to them. They were some hard working cats. I would have liked to see Chuckii produce more for them on their latter day stuff. [Edited 1/4/18 16:08pm] Don't laugh at my funk

- After revisiting this song recently, that thumping bass reminded me of Chunkii's attempt to recreate Prince's bass in "She's Always In My Hair." Especially during the instrumental break around the 4:00 min mark. - (DISCLAIMER: NO, I AM NOT SAYING THAT "MY HEART" IS AS FUNKY AS "SHE'S ALWAYS IN MY HAIR." The bass lick is just similiar to me, just not as hard.
