One of LL’s best This vastly superior remix has maybe my favorite parenthetical song title ever: “Jingling Baby (Remixed But Still Jingling)” "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I miss the days when hip hop was built on warm solid funk and soul beats like this and an MC just spitting and bragging. Marley Marl was a great producer. And isn't that a little interpolation of I Want Your Sex by George Michael playing at 2:58?

I noticed the typical hip-hop 'jump' style dancing - most acts were doing this at the time including Prince & the NPG!!!!

i was at the Joe in Detroit when this single was out. the video had not yet premiered. hip hop had evolved to its dopest era IMO with unashamed dancing. i'd seen LL before this era but now you had kid n play, big daddy kane (with his dancers scoop and scrap), you had heavy d and the boyz, etc. etc. so when LL did his set, the audience was almost palpably expectant to see if he COULD or WOULD get beyond the nut grabbing, stage prowling and cut loose. HE DID when Jingling Baby came on and the audience went NUTS! the era was officially in full bloom and this was still PRE-Hammer. great memory associated with this song and vid for me
