I like her voice, it has a personality all its own, and her whole package fits that voice. And I've been to more than a few of her concerts and she performs her azz off. She's worked for hers, in my book. Did she hook up with the right duo? Sure. Did she get all big-headed and self-impotant and drown in her greatness like so many others? Nope. She could have quite easily. I'm sure she has her moments. Superbowl be damned, she hasn't half stepped, she gives herself and I think she's amazing.

Janet was fantastic when I saw her two weeks ago. I fell in love with her all over again.

I decided at the last minute to see her live last month in New Jersey because good seats were still available at a relatively cheap price (screw you, Barclays) and I'm glad I went. I've seen Janet on every tour (except for Unbreakable--tri-state area shows canceled) and this one may have been the best.

See i was at that same show with good seats and all was great except when she sang ballads. That part where she sat on tne stool for a little too long, i could not hear her. I felt she was whispering to herself and she clearly lost the crowd. Im not trying to convince anyone otherwise that the show was not excellent but just wondering if everyone is just looking past that and giving janet a pass.

I enjoyed the ballads (Twenty Foreplay!) and heard them just fine. I also didn't get the impression she "lost the crowd" during that time.

State truly looks like her best tour ever and I had a ticket, but I had to sell it last minute and didn't get to go. I'm glad I saw it online though, she did so many songs she should have done years ago and this would have been my 10th janet sighting, but the good that came out of it was the person who saw her instead of me had never seen her and loved her so much and had faced a lot of adversity with janet being a stress reliever for her in life, and told me after the show, and this was like a blessing for her that my ticket had come out of nowhere for her. So i was glad something good came out of it, I was blessed with opportunities to see almost all her tours and meet her, and friends had pulled strings for me and things like that in the past to get close to her prior to her shows, so I was okay to let go this time and don't feel like I lost out though it was a fabulous show.

Janet inspired me so much too growing up and velvet rope was the soundtrack to my life and is still relevant growing up, I was only selling a ticket cause I had become too busy and it was unexpected but it was meant to be this way and kind of a humble reminder that janet truly touches people through her music and I got to see firsthand those who have had harder circumstances than myself, and what she does and is so underrated in that sense. She even took clips of the show and sent me, which I had not even asked for or expected cause I was working towards so many deadlines and everything else had become secondary at that moment.

Okay, I'll guess we'll just agree to disagree because I could not hear her and I sat at the first upper level. to me for the crowd the only excitement I saw came from the luckys fans in the first 20 rows trying to interact with her.

If you look at the feedback on Ticketmaster, any issues with the show are almost the same, about the sound drowning out janet's voice. the same at the barclay center. but overall the feedback is good.

I've sat farther up during Prince and Bruno shows and I heard them crystal clear and watched the crowd react with excitement.

I still wont' take the good parts away from SOTW. I am amazed at Janet doing all those complicated dance moves for over an hour and still be able to sing.

I didn't see 24 play yet online but if she was not being heard, maybe a key change would have helped perhaps? Those I know that attended the show here had positive things to say about the dancing and performing...

It's a jam but not an easy song to sing for sure.

You know, I just noticed most r&b songs would get a dance remix, janet being a prime example....together again did the opposite: a dance song that got 2 very different r&b mixes and hit number 1 becoming one of her biggest worldwide singles. I feel like this followed after very closely with pop acts. Mariah was already doing the same, and I guess destiny's child, but they didn't really do that with a europop/disco tinged song the way Together Again did.
