Chasing Trane: The John Coltrane Documentary

Had a chance to watch this over the holiday break. Overall, I thought it was a good documentary that did a good job of telling (most of) Coltrane's story for "newbies" that aren't too familiar with him or jazz and there were great interviews/stories/old footage for Coltrane fans.

Anyone else seen it yet? If so, thought?

Coltrane is probably the best jazz musician who ever lived, but I didn't know there was a new doc
out on him. I will have to check it out.

It's really good and features family footage and other rare footage I haven't seen before.

I watched it, and enjoyed it. I loved Coltrane going in, but learned to like him more by the end. Its certainly worth watching.

Lady Cab Driver is one of the greatest songs ever!
