Michael's version is good and kind of funky but in no way is better than the original, it sounds watered down.

Really? i for one believe no one can make it better than Paul. This version and the Ray Charles one are some of the worst versions i have heard of so far.

Personally, I like the En Vogue version the most You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Sinead O'Connor: Nothing Compares 2 U. If it wasn't for her, this song would have been forgotten and Prince would never have included it in his live set. [Edited 11/22/17 11:40am]

Guys, I'm getting confused. Are we on the "remakes you like better" or "worse remakes" thread? I can't tell the difference anymore...

Since you trashed Milli Vanilli in another thread. I guess you're talking about me. I like their version, but I do not like the original by Numarx. Like I don't like the version of Point Of No Return by the original lineup of Exposé, but I like the re-recording by the more well known lineup. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I like the version by Ferris Bueller the best You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
