More happily than "Undeniably"--a taste of unrequited or lost love--we have "Blanket on the Ground," an ebulliant toast to love!

Yeah, back in the day he used to write cool comments (or whatever they were called) on people's myspace pages.

that's right, he wrote on mine.

Yes, the man has created some beautiful songs and music over the years--decades--and is continuing to do so in regal style, it seems to me. He has a generous heart continuing this tradition and I can vouch that he greatly appreciates each and all of our support, bless him (and his team)!

Big-ups to the classic songs and TreeHouse Publishing. He has more love songs out there to enjoy.

Undeniably

Seems like the last guy you were with
Was only interested in trying to bring you down
Tear you down and keep you down
But sweetness all I want to do is adore you
And to help you restore you to your rightful glory
The poet of your indecision speaks
Undeniably I love you
Undeniably I love you
Baptized by the fire in your eyes I was mesmerized
A perfect night in Paradise
I spent with you and paid the price
I know that angels must to their clouds return
But I'm left to burn
And blow a kiss to what might have been
And blow a kiss to what might have been
Undeniably I love you
Undeniably I love you yes I do
Inside of you I promised you a sweet refrain
That only the sweetest grapes would pass your lips
And then remain in cool sustain
To let my words caress your ear and
Say the things you long to hear
But instead
I blow a kiss to what might have been
I blow a kiss to what might have been
Undeniably I love you girl yes yes you know I do
Undeniably

Gorgeous. One my favorite classics from dude. Didn't Prince write in one of his liner notes: "The man's a poet." It was either Symphony or Damn or Vibrator. I don't remember. But I whole heartedly agree.

-

A lot of his songs could be formatted for poetry in book form.

OMG....I'm shaking. I've been avoiding TTD for years as he brings back memories of someone that broke by heart bad. In tears watching this vid.

Gotta TURN THE PAGE i guess.

Symphony and Vibrator are up there way ANY Prince album.

"Holding On To You" and "Let Her Down Easy" are absolutely in my TTD Top10, but there are some more "obscure" gems that I think are highly underrated.

For example, "What Shall I Do?" is a wonderful track, nice and sweet, maybe unknown to many because of the fact it was included only on "WildCard (The Joker's Edition)" and not in the first WildCard release (it was originally a B-Side for "O Divina").

And even if it is a collaboration, "Letting Go" from "The Fan" OST is a lost masterpiece.

I absolutely love What Shall I Do? Stunning song!

Regarding his more recent releases, I just can't find the energy to digest all 50+ songs on his new album.

Now I know how casual P fans felt when Emancipation was released smile

He covers Beatles tunes on The Rise of the Zugebrian Time Lords. A lot of people enjoy his version of "If I Fell." I, however, particularly enjoy "I'll Be Back."

I wish he'd go on tour! Of course, the name Sananda Maitreya will make people think they're going to a yoga or a Buddhist meditation class, so he'd have to play the old TTD songs to draw a crowd, but he could easily play a mix of the old and the new, like he did when I saw him in 2002. That's 15 years ago! Hit the road, Jack!

finally listened to this album. been a big fan of the previous work,

though some pieces are an acquired taste.

this offereing, all 3 discs, are a trainwreck. woeful instrumentals,

boring repeats and re-issues, and the originals could've all

been offered on his 3 previous albums. there's no growth, less

originality in composition and structure, no variety in instrumentation.

i was looking forward to this album for months. greatly disappointed.

it usually takes me a few listens to get into his new work but i'm on

the 5th listen and it's just as dull.

back to listening to some classic prince.

^^^The listener willl always be the judge of the value of the music. So listen up!

>

Sananda has taken the time he has to luxuriate in exploration of sound that could come to express the sentiment of love in all of its spiraling variations: love of life; pursuit and self-realization of happiness; struggle to win a chance to pursue one's love; romantic exultations; love lost and its rejuvenation.

>

Prometheus & Pandora offers an opportunity to hear a soundscape that meditates on variations in the theme of love; each P&P volume illustrates a unique perspective in the jouney to fulfillment. It is not a linear journey. I would call P&P and the previous 2 albums Return to Zooathaloon and The Rise of the Zugebrian Time Lords a universe/continuum of sonic galaxies, each album exploring a special tone in the sprawling saga of life and love.

>

From his Return to Zooathalon, the first album of the continuum, Sananda'll love to take you with him if you'll go, in "If I Go Away."

Volume 1 of Prometheus & Pandora holds one beautiful, gentle song: "She'll Tell Me"

The lyrics ride on a bed of soft percussion, cymbal splashes and acoustic rhythm guitar, washed by organ chords and synth-key horns. Sananda sings his melody, treating his subject--she--with care, accompanied by electric guitar the poetic verse:

>

"Paradise was made for more than sleeping, or our fate awakens on a pair of dice,

but the cause of love is great and will not be denied because we're late."

I love this tune--what a gift he has shared with us. It's all about the giving, the origin of love. Dig.

I am pretty sure we used to be FB friends and wanted to send him a link to this thread as he loves the after-Wildcard Sananda albums a lot too, but I can't find him in my list of friends.

It was released with both names on it in 2001 and the 2003 re-release as the Joker's Edition was under the name TTD

You're fortunate--I've never been to one of his shows. I watch the videos, but if I take an opportunity to travel to Europe there may be some slim hope to catch a gig. It's tougher for us fans Stateside where he's become shy or too budget-restricted (?) to perform.

Yes I was very lucky to see quite a few shows by him over the years and I have a lot of very special memories of those times. Sadly for US fans the last shows he played overthere were in 2002 AFAIK and I was very lucky to see 2 of those US shows too.
