Madoona curses fans trying to download her album Madonna has a curse filled message online for those that try to download her new album. Cry babies complained when Prince simply used te law to protect her music from internet para-sites. He never disrespected the fans like this.
Sad thing is that Madoona will get away with it and Prince will still be called the asshole for protecting his rights the right way.

Boo hoo, Madge.
She should get it into her head that P2P files can only help with the marketing of her album - the demographic who likes her stuff would be more likely to BUY her album than to upload it. On average, Gen Xers and older like having albums that we can actually hold and carry around, as opposed to the younger cats who don't mind if it's solid, liquid, or whatEVER, as long as they can hear it. I really hope she gets those songs off the Internet, though. I worry sometimes that she doesn't have enough money...

yah, with the current lack of real positive press on the album (yanked video, mediocre reviews so far) people downloading tracks is a good sign as it should wet their appetite enough to go buy the album... btw, one difference (so far) with Prince and Madonna, she's simply bitching about the downloading...Prince sent his lawyers and the courts after his fans

ps, just curious, where's the message? I wanna see what she's yapping about this time..

I'm a "former" Madonna fan. I have every album she's recorded and more, some of which I have multiple copies of. I don't like the song American Life, but I am seriously thinking of NOT buying this album. I want to download it though to see if it is any good. I have no intention of nurning it onto a CD, I just want to hear it.
Sorry Madge, I haven't got the choice now. I don't know any other Madonna fans so I can't borrow a copy. Looks like you've lost a sale.

If you try and download any songs from Kazaa, all you get is Madonna's voice saying "What the fuck do you think you're doing?"

If the music is good I will buy it, no question. Sometimes I buy albums by chance before I've heard them when they're on sale and I'm feeling a bit risky. Sometimes even when they're really expensive. But I can't do that all the time, and on principle now, I will not buy an album by an artist with 12 crap songs and 1 good one. Sometimes downloading album tracks entice me to buy an album, because who can be botheerd to download entire albums. The only album I have ever fully downloaded is Cyndi Lauper's 'Shine'. The reason being that I cannot for the life of me find it to buy either on the shelf or online.

I have to admit,Madonna has done an exceptional job at keeping this album from leaking.Other artists are now gonna follow her lead. She didn't allow any journalists to have an advance copy and even her own employees do not have a copy.I think she was really pissed when her 'Music' CD leaked a month early,so this time, she and Warners came up with an effective strategy to prevent it from happening again.Alot of fans are pissed but hey,she has to protect her music.
It's funny visiting the Madonna forums and seeing fans lie about having a copy of the album...lol...they all say things like "I know someone who works for Warners" or "I know someone who works for Maverick".Yeah right! The truth is,this album has been guarded as if it was gold.I think the album will sell many more copies as a result.

that is the funniest shit i have ever heard! ok, well, maybe not the funniest ever but still damn funny. That woman is crazy...even if i don't like the album i still think it should be purchased, not stolen. btw, i heard a song called "maybe love" (or something like that) and i wasn't crazy about that one either. I think i'll skip this album and wait for the box set and tour!

"despair, regret and tenderness" are the first three words sung. this is definitely madonna. it is a slower song with some guitar. i don't know if the posted name is correct but they said it is called "maybe your love". i don't remember much else, as i stopped listening half way through. maybe it's not from the new album.

That song is called "Time Stood Still," from the soundtrack to "The Next Best Thing." It's a wonderful, alluring ballad.

(sigh) He's just bitter because he would rather see his hero MJ on top again...lol...so of course it makes sense to trash anyone who is doing better than MJ these days.
