Some celebrity deaths just impact me for a few minutes. Tom Petty, much more so. I was feeling sad about it this morning and got some of my old Tom Petty CDs and played Wildflowers today. I really like how real and direct that he seemed, especially on this CD. I hate how we keep losing so many greats out of the blue.

Sad news. I'm glad he's in the RRHOF. He left a legacy of great music. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Poor Tom, rest in peace, and lots of strength to his friends and family to cope with his loss.

Although guitarpop/rock of music is not really my type of music I have always had a weak spot for Tom Petty & The heartbreakers. At one point in the nineties I bought a Greatest Hits album which I have played a lot. So I am here now to pay respect to this great artist. He certainly deserves it, he had many great songs!
