You tube version bans me from seeing it in America. I will listen to the mixcloud version, but am I missing out on anything? Straight Jacket Funk Affair

- "That's it!" "I can't take no mo!" "I can't take no mo! LAWD!" - I am cracking up listening to Janet on that "Escapade MPLS Remix". Prince & Morris would love that MPLS pimp voice she put on at the end. Hilarious!!! My co-workers are looking at me like I'm crazy, as I listen with headphones.

Didn't know "Scream" samples "The Knowledge" and "In The Closet." Jam & Lewis has to be some of the best samplers in R&B/Pop music outside of Hip Hop producers. - Even the classic, "If" had mad drum loops sampled in it. I heard maybe one or two before but not 5 or 6 as this deconstruction displays. - Their embrace of technology is really commendable. They could've easily stayed stagnant and refused to evolve but they didn't and we all benefited from it.

Can anyone help bring clarity to the whole, "Jam & Lewis shafted J. Dilla" rumor? Did they hire him for the Umma remix for "Got Til It's Gone" and didn't pay him or was it that they hired him for the original and didn't give him credit?

They should have finished that version I was so to hear those deep funk vocals coming from janet ...wow! I wonder how many other hidden gems they have of her. That was a hilarious bit at the end too!!!
JC, thank you thank you thank you for this amazing treat. Very well done. I really loved it all. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

- Just finished the "Deconstruction...". I am What a musical treat. I think I fell in love Janet's voice all over again. Hearing a young Jan talking about Prince and The Time was cool again. Some of this story was familiar but it was the breakdown of the the songs that stood out for me. I didn't know she's been writing music since she was 9 yrs. old though. - I think she really benefited from being the youngest and hearing her family harmonize together. She truly understands the importance of harmony in background vocals. Flyte Tyme brings out the best in her. And her ideas and eclectic taste bring out the best in them for musical matrimony that we all can appreciate. - That "Cool Summer Remix" to "Nasty" has to be one of their best remixes they've done. - As I think about it, her saying, "I Kain't Take No Mo" is really her impersonating Prince/Morris. they didnt work with him at all. jimmy said he loved what dilla was doing and he wanted to make a track that sounded like him, jimmy did the gtig track, i guess he did it too well because you still have people claiming dilla made it and they didnt give him credit.

- Yeah, I never got the feeling that Jimmy or Terry would do something like that anyway.

Amazing show! Loved hearing the isolated tracks!!! how did he get them? . . anyone who thinks Janet can't sing needs to listen to this!. . . But why does she lipsynch so much in her live shows? She obviously CAN sing!
