JayZ: Saving Amy Winehouse?

Came across this article and was perplexed by JayZ's sudden openness in all things recently. He states that he had tried to save Amy back in 2007, but then goes onto state that her "lyrics" were hints to a troubled life she was living. I think he may be taking some liberties with certain things, but here is article:

Regarding the article, its a bunch of lies and Jay Z is just using Amy for PR for his flop album. I mean does anyone really believe that when Jay Z FIRST meant Amy he told Amy she could live with him and Beyonce? Thats B.S and I think that is sad he would say something like that given she is not here to defend her side.

JayZ story seems like revisionist history in some parts. Given the nature of his lifestyle, the whole Amy living at/with the Carters sounds fishy.
